With the opening of the NIDA complex in October 2001, Sydney gained one of its most complete and versatile entertainment and event venues. It is also one of Sydney’s most attractive spaces. The NIDA Building won the 2002 Sulman prize for Public Architecture. The building contains the Parade Theatre and the Parade Studio, The Reception Room, a small film and television studio – the Reg Grundy Studio, a library, a rehearsal room and extensive workshop area.

Laycock St Theatre
